AJ Styles Vs. Finn Balor Officially Set For WWE Survivor Series
At World Wrestling Entertainment’s upcoming Survivor Series Premium Live Event at the end of this month, two faction leaders will be facing off in the squared circle: The O.C.’s AJ Styles vs. The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor. Both used to be members of the iconic Bullet Club stable.
Earlier in the year, Styles and Balor were actually on the same side against The Judgment Day, however, Balor would join the faction after his, Styles’ and Liv Morgan’s defeat at WWE Hell in a Cell to the Edge-led version of the stable (Edge, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley).
Since joining, Finn Balor has offered AJ Styles multiple invitations to join The Judgement Day, however, “The Phenomenal One” has rejected each one, which eventually led them to their feud.
Originally solo in his rivalry with Balor and The Judgement Day, Styles would eventually get backup when Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows made their return to WWE on the October 10, 2022 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, joining their O.C. leader in the fight against The Judgment Day. Then on November 7, 2022, Mia Yim would then make her return to the company on Raw, also joining up with The O.C.
On the November 14, 2022 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, Styles issued a challenge to Balor for a match at WWE Survivor Series, a bout that is meant to end the feud between the two. Later in the episode, Balor accepted, making the match between the two official for Survivor Series.
It is official.
