AJ Styles Teases Huge WWE Arrival: “It’s Only A Matter Of Time”

WWE legend AJ Styles has just teased the possibility of this young star becoming a part of its roster.

AJ Styles made a name for himself in TNA and helped the company grow during its formative years. He later joined WWE in 2016 and had an illustrious career in the Stamford-based company, which ended at the Royal Rumble in January this year when he wrestled his final ever match against Gunther and passed out to his sleeper hold.

Styles has won every major title that both TNA and WWE had to offer, becoming TNA’s first Grand Slam Champion and WWE’s 15th Grand Slam Champion.

He is now set to mentor talent in NXT as part of a new non-wrestling role, and was recently asked about 21-year-old Leon Slater and whether he could be coming to WWE.

Slater is currently a part of TNA and is a former one-time and longest reigning TNA X-Division Champion.

When asked during his Phenomenally Retro podcast about Slater coming to WWE, Styles responded positively.

AJ Styles’ Approval Comes After Leon Slater Had A WWE Match Recently

The English star has been performing for WWE’s NXT brand since 2025 as part of regular crossovers between TNA and NXT.

Slater made his WWE main roster debut on the 16 January episode of SmackDown, where he answered United States Champion Carmelo Hayes’ open challenge but failed to win the title on the night.

With quite a bit of wrestling experience under his belt at such a young age, Slater would be a major addition to the main roster. Other stars who have recently been promoted to the main roster from NXT include Ethan Page, Oba Femi, Joe Hendry, Sol Ruca, and Trick Williams.
