AEW Star Very Upset After Shock Heel Turn
Kris Statlander is not happy about the actions of her former Best Friend, Trent Beretta on AEW Dynamite.
The Best Friends have been a staple of AEW since its inception in 2019. Originally a tag team with Beretta and Chuck Taylor, the fan-favourite group grew to include Orange Cassidy and Kris Statlander.
On the April 3rd edition of Dynamite, Cassidy and Beretta were defeated by The Young Bucks in a semi-final of the Tag Team Title tournament. Afterwards, Chuck Taylor joined the two in the ring and the group went to hug, but Trent Beretta shocked the world by attacking Orange Cassidy, laying him out with a huge knee.
What just happened!?

Kris Statlander Responds To Trent Beretta’s Actions On AEW Dynamite
After the show, Statlander confronted Beretta backstage and the star simply whispered something to her before walking off. While Beretta is yet to explain his actions, Statlander has made her feelings clear.
During an appearance on The Grill Out with ‘Hollywood’ Jeff Petty, the former TBS Champion said she was “very upset” with her former ally, and that despite her own recent setbacks, she won’t become the same type of person.
“I’m very upset with him. We all kind of get down in the dumps, but I always thought we were better than letting the losses get to us. He proved that he is not the kind of friend that we thought he was after all this time.
“It sucks. It’s hard to see your friends get to a point of no return. I tried to talk some sense to him and I tried to have a conversation with him, but I’m in a little bit of a down space myself, I’ve not been doing great in the ring, but I’m trying my best to not let it get to me. He just proved to me the type of person I don’t want to become.”
