AEW Star Slams “Mark” Mike Tyson

Current AEW star ‘Daddy Magic’ Matt Menard has taken issue with Mike Tyson saying he’d rather appear for WWE than AEW despite making less money doing so and called the boxing star “a mark.”

Mike Tyson has appeared four times on AEW television with the last of those appearances coming in April 2021 when he was the special enforcer for a match between Chris Jericho and Dax Harwood on Dynamite. His most notable appearance came when he was ringside for the finals of a tournament to crown the inaugural TNT Champion.

Tyson was seen yawning at ringside before presenting Cody Rhodes with the title belt after he defeated Lance Archer.

Speaking on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, the former boxing great was joined by The Undertaker and says that he’d rather appear on WWE television than AEW despite Tony Khan’s company apparently paying more to have him appear:

“You know Tony Khan and those guys? Yeah, these guys want to put me on the show and stuff before. But I don’t care if they got more money. If Vince [McMahon] put me on the show, I’d rather go there [WWE] even though they [AEW] pay more money.”

Tyson’s comments did not get past Jericho Appreciation Society member Matt Menard who offered his own blunt assessment of ‘Iron’ Mike on social media:

“What a mark”
