Why AEW Star Harley Cameron Deactivated Twitter Account

Harley Cameron has received backlash for a botched move in a recent tag match.

Cameron, who is one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions, along with her Babes of Wrath partner Willow Nightingale, was defending the titles against the MegaBad team of Penelope Ford and Megan Bayne on AEW: Dynamite’s Feb 25 episode .

In a spot during the match, Ford was to execute a moonsault on the champions outside the ring, but the pair were out of position and failed to catch Ford correctly, leading her to sustain another injury on her previously injured leg.

Ford is reported to have a sprained ankle and will return to action soon.

AEW Star Harley Cameron Harrassed By Fans, Deactivates X Account

Following the AEW Dynamite broadcast, a segment of fans on social media harshly criticised Cameron, blaming her directly for Ford’s injury.

It included statements like stripping Babes of Wrath of their tag team titles and asking AEW to punish them.

These intense comments led Cameron to deactivate her X account.

A portion of the fans also came in support of Cameron, noting the risk of such high-flying maneuvers in pro-wrestling, where the diver should land on their feet as the catchers brace their upper bodies.
