Jon Moxley is considered by many to be a leader in AEW and one man that beat him for a title spoke about the respect he has for Mox.

When Jon Moxley joined AEW in May 2019, he instantly became one of the biggest names in the company. Five years later, Moxley has remained one of AEW’s biggest stars and somebody who is tough to beat.

At AEW Worlds End, Jon Moxley faced Eddie Kingston in the finals of the Continental Classic tournament. The story was about how Kingston and Moxley are close like brothers, but Kingston hadn’t beaten Moxley in the past. It was Kingston’s chance to show he could be the better man. That’s what happened as Eddie got the win with a spinning back fist to the face leading to the pinfall win.

Orange Cassidy had an intense rivalry with Moxley in the second half of 2023. Moxley beat Orange Cassidy for the International Title, but when they had a rematch at AEW Full Gear in November, Cassidy got the clean win to retain the title. It was arguably the biggest win of Cassidy’s career just because it came against a major player like Moxley.

While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy spoke about Moxley’s leadership in AEW.

“Jon Moxley is a leader for AEW and I think a lot of people look to Jon Moxley for leadership. I am too, like Jon Moxley, a person that leads by example and I saw the example that he was setting and I was like, ‘You know, I want to do that.’ I try. I try, but no one can be Jon Moxley because there is no (other) Jon Moxley.”

“I am forever in his debt for him changing and bringing out this version of me that is clearly a better version because I still have [AEW International Title].”

How Many Titles Has Jon Moxley Won in AEW?

During his five-year run in AEW, Moxley has been the only three-time World Champion in company history. Moxley’s three championship reigns have seen him hold the title for 347 days, which is nearly one year.

In addition to the AEW World Title, Moxley is also one-time AEW International Champion. Moxley’s win was over Orange Cassidy in the main event of AEW All Out 2023.

Before AEW, Moxley competed in WWE as Dean Ambrose from 2011 to 2019. In WWE, Moxley is a former Grand Slam Champion who held the WWE World Title, Intercontinental Title, US Title, Tag Team Titles, and a whole lot more.
