A friend of CM Punk in AEW wants to see the Straight Edge Superstar succeed in his return to WWE.

During his two-year run in AEW, there were a lot of stories about CM Punk’s problems in the company that led to multiple fights and the former AEW World Champion getting fired by the company in September 2023.

While the negativity might get the spotlight too much, there are still plenty of people who are on CM Punk’s side because they liked interacting with him and generally get along with him.

At WWE Survivor Series in Chicago, CM Punk returned to the company that he walked away from nearly a decade earlier. CM Punk delivered a promo two days later on Raw where he declared that he is “home” in WWE again.

Thunder Rosa is a former AEW Women’s Champion who spoke about Punk when she was hosting Busted Open Radio.

“People were blowing up my phone. ‘Did you see what happened?’ ‘No, I was working.’ I have to confess, it was a touch of heartbreak and happiness.”

“I love Phil, as a person. I want him to be successful. I wish things would have gone completely different and that he was still working with us.”

“I’m really happy that he is fulfilling his dream because he loves professional wrestling and he has a very strong passion for professional wrestling. Working with Phil, in my perspective, I’m talking about me, it has been positive, and enriching.

“I really feel we all deserve second chances, I firmly believe in second chances. This is a way that, everybody needs to recognize that Phil has had many chances and this is his last chance in professional wrestling. A lot of people thought it was never going to happen and it was a huge surprise.”
