AEW Or WWE? Potential Spoiler On Chris Jericho’s Future
Chris Jericho’s future landing spot has potentially been revealed.
Chris Jericho was last seen in a wrestling ring with AEW in April 2025. He has since stepped away from the wrestling world, and fans are desperately waiting for him to return.
Rumours of his return to WWE have been running amok as fans were certain that Jericho would return to the Stamford-based promotion following the end of his AEW contract in December.
This didn’t happen, however, and Jericho’s AEW contract was extended to fit his time of absence from TV.
The legendary wrestler is still very much a part of the AEW roster, but a new update recently emerged that Jericho had trademarked the word “Cornerstone”.
Although it’s unclear what this means, Fightful Select has reported that there is a growing belief that Chris Jericho will be back in AEW sooner rather than later.
Chris Jericho May Continue At AEW Despite Talks With WWE
As per Fightful’s report, Jericho’s trademarking of the word “Cornerstone” could mean that he goes back to AEW because it’s something that makes more sense in the context of the Tony Khan-led promotion.
The report also says that Y2J has had talks with WWE recently, but the rumours of him returning at an immediate PLE are not true.
Chris Jericho has been the subject of discussion recently, as he trademarked the phrase ‘Cornerstone.’ This has led to natural speculation about his landing point. Sources in AEW do have a growing belief that he will return to the company, especially with the nature of the trademark making more sense there
We’re told that there absolutely have been talks between Chris Jericho and WWE in recent months. However, at no point has creative been set for him that we’ve heard about. He was never planned for the WWE Raw on Netflix anniversary, Royal Rumble, or Elimination Chamber.
The report also points out that AEW and Chris Jericho have been in talks for his return to TV.
At the very least, Jericho and AEW have been discussing a return in the last couple of months
