AEW Drops A Massive CM Punk Reference At Revolution 2026
AEW hosted its first pay-per-view of the year, and they crammed everything onto the card that they could to make this an unforgettable PPV for its fans. Despite multiple returns and debuts throughout the night, fans waited eagerly for the main event.
The main event of the show saw Hangman Page and MJF go to war with one another over the AEW World Championship in a Texas Death Match. The match left both of them with blood oozing from all parts of their body.
After the bout had gone on for more than half an hour and nothing separated the two rivals, Hangman Page dropped a major reference to former AEW World Champion CM Punk.
CM Punk referenced on AEW Revolution tonight
Before signing for WWE in 2023, CM Punk spent a couple of years in the All Elite promotion. He had one of his most memorable rivalries in the promotion with the current AEW World Champion, MJF.
In one of their most iconic matches, which took place at Revolution 2022, MJF and CM Punk wrestled each other in a Dog Collar match, where Punk defeated the Salt of the Earth.
During his match with MJF tonight, Hangman Page introduced a Dog Collar once again in an MJF match, four years on from the memorable CM Punk moment.
