Breaking: Major AEW Champion Suffers Legitimate Injury
Many AEW stars are currently sidelined due to legitimate injuries.
Adam Cole has been out indefinitely due to a severe head injury he sustained in July 2025. Bobby Lashley has also been out of action with an undisclosed injury. Wardlow is recovering from a torn pectoral muscle, and Toni Storm was written off TV a few weeks ago following a staged backstage attack for an unknown reason.
Now, another AEW star appears to have suffered a major injury.
AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher Has Reportedly Injured His Leg
Kyle Fletcher was in action at a Saturday’s Collision show in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The current AEW TNT Champion teamed up with Mark Davis in a match against Zachary Wentz and Desmond Xavier of The Rascalz.
During the match, Fletcher appeared to suffer an injury, as he was visibly favoring his leg. Ringside physicians attended to Fletcher twice during the match. According to on-site reports, the injury occurred when Fletcher landed awkwardly on his foot after his knee collided with Mark Davis.
Despite being injured, he finished the match, and his team was victorious. After the match, Fletcher did not use the ramp with his partner, Mark Davis. Instead, he exited directly from the floor and was seen limping to the back.
There has been no official medical update from All Elite Wrestling regarding Fletcher’s condition, but Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer recently provided a report. Alvarez confirmed that The Protostar injured himself during the match. He added that Kyle left the show in a walking boot.
“Kyle Fletcher left the show tonight in a walking boot. Whatever the injury is it’s legit. Hoping for the best.”
