Action Bronson Details How AEW Grand Slam Match Came About

Action Bronson is just days away from making his in-ring AEW debut.

Rapper-turned apparent professional wrestler, Action Bronson will be teaming up with FTW Champion, HOOK to take on Jericho Appreciation Society’s Matt Menard and Angelo Parker, this Friday at AEW Rampage: Grand Slam.

Bronson recently appeared on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani and explained how the aforementioned match came together:

“They had the idea for me to walk him down to the ring. Then, I started training a little bit and they saw my athleticism and prowess.”

The ‘Baby Blue’ artist delved a bit into his training at Pat Buck’s Create A Pro dojo, but mentioned that he actually has it built into his AEW deal that he won’t be taking many, if any bumps during his match:

“Create A Pro, I like to give them a plug because they showed a lot of love. It is a school, but it’s a dojo (run by Pat Buck). Taz got everything hooked up. Just started fucking around, teaching me shit. Nine-ten weeks ago and things started moving from there. I just practice offense. F**k that, I don’t fall, I have it in the contract. I don’t fall. Taking bumps is serious, it’s not an easy thing. I’ve worked different styles and this is one of the toughest. I love it [running the ropes]. It’s intense, makes me feel good. You have to hit them right, no doubt about it.”
