A former WWE champion has announced the end of his full-time wrestling career.

Mojo Rawley joined the Stamford-based company 14 years ago. The 7-time 24/7Champion had a nine-year run in the promotion before getting released from his contract in April 2021.

Rawley was inactive for almost a year before his release. His last match took place in June 2020, when he lost to Shorty G (Chad Gable) on SmackDown. He has since stepped away from the ring.

The Former WWE Superstar Is Done With Full-Time Wrestling

In a recent interview with The Takedown on SI, Mojo Rawley was asked whether he would ever return to the squared circle. Although he did not rule out a one-off comeback, the former 24/7 Champion confirmed that he was done with full-time wrestling.

The 39-year-old explained that a full-time return to the ring is not possible at this point in his life.

I think I’m done with an in-ring career full-time. Never say never. If we have one really good opportunity, and I’ll be straight up, it’s likely going to be an event that Paragon puts on. That would warrant a comeback for one night, but I think at this point, a full time return to an in-ring career is just not possible. [H/T: SI]
