This former WWE star says he is happy at AEW.

Tommaso Ciampa left WWE to join AEW in January.

Ciampa was part of a tag team called DIY in WWE with Johnny Gargano. During his time with the Stamford-based promotion, he held the NXT Championship twice and the NXT Tag Team Championships once with Gargano before going on to win the WWE Tag Team Titles with Gargano on the main roster.

Ciampa, upon joining AEW, immediately won the AEW TNT Championship, a title he soon lost but is in pursuit of.

Speaking at a K&S WrestleFest virtual signing, the Psycho Killer talked about how things have been for him so far in the Tony Khan-led promotion.

Former WWE Star Tommaso Ciampa Wishes To Retire In AEW

Ciampa was very positive about AEW and how much he’s liking it there.

He went so far as to say that the company treats his family extremely well and that he plans to retire there.

So far, I like it a lot. I love the start. There’s a lot of fun things I have in the works and ways to evolve the character and just gotta be patient (and) let that all play out but, we’re on to some good stuff. There’s some really cool plans in the works.

I’m hoping that I get to ride into the sunset with AEW to be honest with you. I really like it there. They treat my family extremely well, and my little one is having a blast.

It seems that the stability Ciampa is experiencing at AEW is leading him to plan for the long-term with the company.
