Dave Meltzer Match Ratings WWE WrestleMania 40 Night Two

Cody Rhodes with Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

Dave Meltzer has handed out his match ratings for night two of WrestleMania 40.

Cody Rhodes finally finished the story. The American Nightmare’s quest for the WWE Championship was the biggest story heading into the weekend, and his emotionally charged win in the main event ensured the show ended with a bang.

The match itself was one of the wildest headline bouts WrestleMania has ever seen. Rhodes and Roman Reigns battled for more than half an hour in an epic clash that featured run-ins from The Rock, Solo Sikoa, The Usos, John Cena, Seth Rollins, and even The Undertaker.

Elsewhere on a huge night of action, Stephanie McMahon made a surprise appearance to open the show, and Snoop Dogg provided arguably the greatest wrestling commentary of all time as The Pride took on The Final Testament.

The second night of the spectacular opened with Drew McIntyre getting his WrestleMania moment as he defeated Seth Rollins to win the World Heavyweight Title. However, his joy was short-lived as he was attacked by CM Punk after repeatedly goading the former AEW star. This enabled Damian Priest to cash in his Money In The Bank contract to become World Champion.

The night’s other big title change took place in the semi-main event when Bayley got the better of former friend IYO SKY to win the Women’s Title.
