Stephanie McMahon Makes Surprise Appearance At WWE WrestleMania 40

Stephanie McMahon on the mic

Stephanie McMahon returned to WWE television.

Fresh off the back of popping back up at the Hall of Fame ceremony on April 5th, Stephanie McMahon opened the second night of WrestleMania 40.

McMahon entered to a remixed version of her theme song before making a quick joke about the weather. She then recalled her WrestleMania memories before saying this one is most special as it marks the start of the “Paul Levesque era.” McMahon kicked off the show by doing Triple H’s “Are you ready?!” DX-bit.

Stephanie McMahon walked away from WWE in early 2023 after her father Vince McMahon forced his way back onto the company’s board of directors. She had remained away from the company until appearing at the Hall of Fame.

Ronda Rousey Pays Tribute To Stephanie McMahon

Since leaving WWE, Ronda Rousey hasn’t had many good things to say about the company, repeatedly taking aim at the likes of Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis and Bruce Prichard. The star even recalled clashing with Triple H after becoming frustrated over her booking.

However, it wasn’t all bad, speaking in a recent interview, Ronda Rousey praised Stephanie McMahon, calling her a “genuine friend.”

Meanwhile, despite occasionally butting heads with him, Rousey claimed she wishes all of her second WWE run could have taken place under Triple H’s guidance.
