Zack Sabre Jr. Wants To Face Bryan Danielson – “I Wonder Where That Ar**hole Is?”

Zack Sabre Jr. is ready to face “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson because after a recent big win in New Japan, Sabre asked: “I wonder where that ar*ehole is?”

Sabre Jr. is one half of the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions with Taichi called the Dangerous Tekkers. The team is part of the Suzuki-Gun group led by Minoru Suzuki, who has been wrestling in AEW for several weeks in a feud with top star Jon Moxley. Suzuki headlined AEW Rampage last night in a tag team match.

After Sabre Jr. got a big win over reigning IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Shingo Takagi in the NJPW G1 Climax tournament. Following his win, the Englishman Sabre Jr. called out Bryan Danielson:

“When I’m on form, no one can touch me. Nobody has got the tekkers. Well, I’ll leave it there for now. So in summary, that’s the Japanese Dragon done, I wonder where the American Dragon is? I wonder where that ar*ehole is?”

When Bryan Danielson was on Rasslin’ with Brandon Walker this week, he mentioned Sabre Jr. as well:

“I want to wrestle Zack Sabre Jr. in England.”

Danielson also spoke about how Sabre Jr. won the Wrestling Observer’s Best Technical Wrestler award several times even though the award is named after Danielson himself:

“Zack Sabre Jr has won the award seven years in a row. Some of those years, I was in retirement. Even since I’ve come back, he’s still winning the Best Technical Wrestler Award that’s named after me! I’m number two in my own award. Now, I want a match with him in England. Somehow, Zack Sabre Jr, if that is his real name, is winning the Bryan Danielson award. That’s something I really look forward to.”

It was a great week for Danielson since he is coming off one of the best matches of his career at AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday when he faced Kenny Omega in what was Danielson’s debut AEW match. The match ended up as a 30-minute time limit draw that should lead to a rematch down the road. The match was praised heavily by fans and critics with TJRWrestling’s John Canton rating the match five stars out of five and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer also rated it five stars.

Hopefully Sabre Jr. and Danielson get their match against eachother especially since they want it so much. The fans do too.
