Zac Efron Shows Bulked-Up Look On Set Of Upcoming Kevin Von Erich Movie

Zac Efron

Filming his role as Kevin Von Erich in the upcoming movie The Iron Claw has led to a complete body transformation for actor Zac Efron!

The Von Erich family are the stuff of wrestling royalty, but their rise to wrestling superstardom has been fraught with tragedy. Following the sudden passing of David Von Erich at the young age of 25, his brothers Mike, Kerry, and Chris all ended up taking their own lives. Family patriarch and World Class Championship Wrestling promoter Fritz Von Erich passed away from brain and lung cancer at the age of 68.

Back in June, Deadline reported that renound actor Zac Efron would be starring in an A24 film chronicling the life of the Von Erich family. It was later revealed that he would be playing the role of Kevin Von Erich, who is one of the last surviving members of the wrestling dynasty and was on hand for the family’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009.

While Zac Efron has always been known for his muscular appearance, the star has added considerable bulk to his frame for his role as Kevin Von Erich as shown in a recent photo from the set of the film in Louisiana.

Chavo Guerrero, who also knows quite a bit about coming from a family deemed wrestling royalty, is set to act as Wrestling Coordinator for The Iron Claw, and he is also expected to appear on screen. Guerrero has previously worked on both GLOW and Young Rock in a similar capacity.

The film is also set to star Lily James, Jeremy Allen White, and Maura Tierney.
