A rising, young WWE champion has caught the eye of AJ Lee, who certainly knows about being a crazy chick.

When AJ Lee became one of the most popular women’s wrestlers in WWE history during her first run in the early 2010s, part of the reason she became so liked was that she was known as a “crazy chick.”

The idea behind being a “crazy chick” was that AJ Lee was unpredictable, whether she was a heel or a babyface, and that erratic behavior ended up making her very popular with the WWE fans.

There is a crazy chick character in NXT who is doing very well these days as well, and that’s Tatum Paxley. This past week on NXT, Tatum Paxley beat Blake Monroe in a Casket Match to retain the Women’s NXT North American Title. Paxley is also a former NXT Women’s Champion as well.

After Paxley posted a photo with the NXT Women’s North American Title on X/Twitter, AJ Lee replied with a humorous remark.

“You’re the coolest. Can I adopt you?”

It doesn’t come as a surprise that Tatum Paxley had a positive response to that suggestion.

YES! I ALSO DIG CRAZY CHICKS!

Whether AJ Lee and Tatum Paxley end up working together in WWE in the future remains to be seen, but they clearly could have a connection as “Crazy Chick” characters.

AJ Lee Came Back To WWE Because Of The Fans

At WrestleMania 42, AJ Lee lost the Women’s Intercontinental Title to Becky Lynch, which meant that Lynch ultimately won their long feud.

In an interview before WrestleMania, AJ Lee opened up about her reasons for coming back to WWE after a decade-long absence and noted that the support of the fans was a big reason why she came back.

“I knew that coming back was the right decision because of my fans.

I was getting these lines that were legitimately seven hours long and that’s when I realized, oh, they’re still here. There’s still this hunger here. This support that only comes with wrestling.

It only comes with this really loyal fanbase who watched me from day one, were a part of the mission statement of underdogs for the win and stuck with me, and were waiting for me to come back. And… to be able to give them a title run and a Mania match, has been incredibly meaningful.”

Lee continued by talking about the importance of telling a good story on WWE television.

“It’s all about telling the best story that keeps people captivated the entire time. And there’s a lot of it you cannot plan for. It has to feel organic, it has to feel like you are communicating with the audience in real time. And that [is] something I feel has always been something I’m in tune with and is probably a big part of my success.

Making sure their hearts are with us. And so far, they’ve just been so into this rivalry with me and Becky, and to feel that passion, you can feel like heat when you’re in the ring. You feel it in your skin. So that’s exciting. I just want people to continue that sort of ravenous hunger for this match-up.”

As for the future, following WrestleMania 42, Lee did an emotional interview where she didn’t say goodbye, but she said see ya later, which likely means she’ll be on a WWE break for an undetermined amount of time.
