An up-and-coming WWE wrestler has named Rhea Ripley as her dream opponent.

Zena Sterling is currently signed with the Stamford promotion and performs on EVOLVE while making appearances on NXT’s house shows, too.

Sterling was also the runner-up on Season 1 of Legends & Future Greats, where she was mentored by Hall of Famer Bully Ray.

One of the season’s episodes saw ‘The Ring General’ Gunther visit the trainees, where he interacted with Sterling. While mocking her mannerisms, he said that “no one wants to see Barbie.”

She has also been labeled as ‘Female Gunther’ by wrestling fans, something that she discussed while speaking on TMZ’s Inside The Ring recently.

The 23-year-old claimed that the comparisons did not bother her; instead, she took pride in them. During the podcast, she was asked about her dream match, when she named former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.

She’s always been an inspiration of mine because she got to the Performance Center when she was 19, just like me and she was once shy as well. I feel like we just connect on so many levels and I see myself in her. So, it’s her development and where she is now. Over time as I develop that same way and get better, I feel like that could be a cool, little match. [H/T: Wrestling Observer]

Rhea Ripley To Compete In Her Seventh WWE WrestleMania

Rhea Ripley is a 3-time Women’s Champion in WWE, and aims to collect her fourth title from Jade Cargill at WrestleMania next month.

Ripley became the #1 Contender after winning the Women’s Elimination Chamber in February. Since then, she has made multiple appearances on SmackDown to confront Cargill.

Jade Cargill won the championship from Tiffany Stratton in November 2025 and has defended it only once ever since.
