WWE’s Cathy Kelley Undergoes Surgery

WWE backstage interviewer Cathy Kelly recently shared a personal update.

While opening up about a demanding work schedule with the Stamford promotion, Kelley revealed via an Instagram post that she underwent egg freezing surgery.

The 37-year-old spoke about working in a fast-paced environment that, at times, requires her to juggle multiple tasks.

While at it, she also credited the WWE support staff, medical personnel, and close friends, who ensured that she did not miss a single day of work amid her egg freezing goals.

Cathy Kelley Was Offered Other Roles Before Her WWE Return

Cathy Kelley is one of the talents on the WWE roster with multiple stints in the company.

She served as a backstage interviewer on NXT before leaving in 2020 to pursue other interestes.

While speaking on The Big Thing podcast in late 2022, Kelley said that she was offered multiple roles before she accepted the backstage interviewer job on Raw.

That was the offer. When I talked to Stephanie, she knew some of the other ventures I was working on, and she said, ‘Do you want to come back as a writer? Do you want to come back as a liaison to WWE community and do a lot of events?’ She also offered me training to do commentary, which I love that she believes in me for that. One of my goals was to always be on either Raw or SmackDown as a backstage interviewer. When that offer came through, that was something I was really excited about.
