WWE’s Current Blueprint For 2027 Royal Rumble Revealed
WWE had a successful outing with the 2026 Royal Rumble, hosting it for the first time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
If reports are to be believed, the Stamford promotion may not be done with the Kingdom, as it hopes to schedule two more PLEs there in 2026.
A different report by WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has revealed plans for the 2027 Royal Rumble. It claims that the company may bring it back to the United States and have a domestic stadium host it.
Furthermore, Triple H & Co. might stick with the ongoing format, limiting the premium live event to a single night. Previously, there have been chatters about stretching the Royal Rumble across two nights.
WWE introduced WrestleMania as a 2-night event in 2020 and has continued with the trend. In 2025, SummerSlam went through a similar development.
Confirmed WWE PLEs For 2026
At the 2026 Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns won the men’s event, whereas Liv Morgan became the Women’s Royal Rumble winner for the first time.
While Reigns has selected CM Punk as his challenger at WrestleMania 42, Morgan has yet to make the final decision.
Elsewhere, WWE has locked in several PLEs for 2026. On February 28, it will host the Elimination Chamber in Chicago, Illinois, where plans are being worked on for Punk to defend his title against Finn Balor.
WrestleMania, meanwhile, is set for April 18 & 19. Later in the year, SummerSlam will be held in Minneapolis on August 1 & 2. Money in the Bank will take place in September as opposed to its June-July slot.
