WWE Veteran Surprisingly Gets Referenced During AEW Dynamite
It was an emotional start to AEW Dynamite tonight as the wrestling world mourned the loss of media mogul Ted Turner, who tragically passed away earlier in the day at the age of 87.
Turner was the owner of World Championship Wrestling and was credited with turning the landscape of professional wrestling. He even founded the television network TNT, which currently broadcasts AEW’s weekly shows.
WWE Hall of Famer Sting made a surprise appearance on Dynamite tonight as he and Tony Schiavone paid their respects to Ted Turner and offered a 10-bell salute in his honor.

Sting wasn’t the only WWE veteran who was referenced on tonight’s show, however, as another former WWE personality was referenced on tonight’s edition of Dynamite.
Former WCW General Manager Eric Bischoff, who spent five years in WWE following their takeover of World Championship Wrestling, penned some words for Turner on his X account, which were shown on Dynamite.
