BREAKING: WWE Hall of Famer Returns To AEW In An Emotional Moment On Dynamite
The wrestling world was dealt a massive shock in the last few hours as former WCW owner Ted Turner tragically passed away at the age of 87. His loss was mourned by many across both WWE and AEW, given his contribution to the world of wrestling.
Apart from owning World Championship Wrestling, Turner also founded the news channel CNN and the television network, TNT, which are the broadcast partners for All Elite Wrestling.
Tonight’s episode of AEW Dyanmite aired live from the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina, where the show began with an emotional tribute to Ted Turner.
Sting returns to AEW Dynamite to pay his respects
Former WCW commentator, Tony Schiavone, kicked off the show as he addressed Ted Turner’s passing in the middle of the ring before WWE Hall of Famer, Sting, made his return to the show.
Sting heaped praise on Turner for his dedication to pro wrestling and credited him for the success of WCW in the 90s. He also stated that with Turner, there wouldn’t have been a Sting, there wouldn’t be a TNT Championship, and there wouldn’t be AEW.
