WWE has made an internal change involving Triple H.

The Game undoubtedly left a huge mark on the pro wrestling business during his time as an active in-ring competitor. His last official match was at a WWE live event in 2019 in Tokyo, Japan, where he teamed up with Shinsuke Nakamura to defeat Robert Roode and Samoa Joe.

Triple H’s last bout at a big event took place at Super Showdown 2019. He lost to Randy Orton on the night. The two legends clashed once again in a street fight on RAW in January 2021, but it was an “unofficial” contest.

Triple H announced his in-ring retirement at WrestleMania 38 in 2022 and is currently leading WWE to new heights as the head of creative.

In a recent update by PWInsider Elite, it was reported that The Game was quietly removed from WWE’s list of active wrestlers only earlier this month (May 2026). Interestingly, before that, he was listed under the “Misc” section, meant for injured or inactive stars who are not part of a specific brand.

Shocking claim on Triple H’s WWE future

While the initial days were smooth sailing for Triple H as the creative head, his more recent booking decisions have garnered massive flak from the WWE Universe.

According to former writer in the sports entertainment juggernaut, Vince Russo, The Game is allegedly worried about his job, despite signing a new WWE contract.

Triple H is worried about his own job. Let’s face it. I don’t care, you can give me the old business ‘we gave him a contract extension,’ but they gave Bob Melvin a contract extension, and he was fired four months later. Don’t give me that nonsense. He’s on shaky ground more than anybody else. He is not going to push back at all at this point.

It remains to be seen if Triple H can win back the support of fans this year.
