WWE TLC Lineup – Three Matches Announced, Raw Advertising US Title Match and Divorce Segment

TJR Wrestling

Congrats to WWE for finally remembering to advertise matches for the Tables, Ladders & Chairs (TLC) pay-per-view on December 15. As our news guy Matthew Fowler covered on the site yesterday, WWE’s CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon believes that they don’t need to advertise matches well in advance and they prefer to add matches on the day of the show or a few days earlier. With TLC set to take place in eight days, we learned of the first three matches on Smackdown last night.

The three matches advertised for TLC so far are:

Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) Match: Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin

Bray Wyatt vs. The Miz

Smackdown Tag Team Titles: The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Big E (c) vs. The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder)

The Bray Wyatt match against The Miz is not for Wyatt’s Universal Championship and it is believed that he’ll be wrestling as Bray Wyatt instead of as The Fiend. It’s a multiple personality gimmick. I’m not in charge. I just report it.

During last night’s Smackdown episode, they also announced two things happening on Monday’s Raw on December 9th in Greenville, South Carolina.

* Rey Mysterio will defend the United States Championship against former AJ Styles. WWE claims that there are not automatic rematches anymore, but here is one. I don’t mind it because it’s going to be a great match. I’m not going to complain about two of the best wrestlers I’ve ever seen in a match. Enjoy it.

* They also announced that Monday will be the “Divorce of Rusev and Lana.” I guess that means the storyline will see the real-life married couple signing papers to make the divorce official for their characters.

It’s expected that Rusev vs. Bobby Lashley will be added to the TLC card as well, but that’s not official yet.
