WWE Tease Faction Split On Raw

There have been issues in The Judgment Day for some time now and while they continued on Raw, it was another faction on the show that looked to be heading for disaster after a big loss.

Raw in Buffalo, New York saw Drew McIntyre compete in his first match since WrestleMania 39 as he teamed with Matt Riddle to face Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci.

McIntyre returned to WWE amid speculation about his future in the company at Money In The Bank where he attacked Gunther and seemingly set his sights on the Intercontinental Championship after The Ring General had defeated Riddle to retain his title.

With Gunther watching on, Vinci and Kaiser lost to McIntyre and Riddle with Vinci being on the wrong end of the three-count, and suffice to say the Intercontinental Champion was less than thrilled with the outcome.

Gunther gave his Imperium teammates a verbal dressing down on the entranceway before storming off. Ludwig Kaiser then glared at his partner in disgust as Vinci looked apologetic for the loss before marching away as well, leaving the group’s future looking precarious.

When Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser were originally called up to the WWE main roster in April 2022, Giovanni Vinci – then known as Fabian Aichner – remained in NXT where he was repackaged as an Italian model. He rejoined Imperium on the main roster at Clash at the Castle in September 2022, keeping his new name but losing the model character.
