WWE Star Will Be Forced To Vacate Title
WWE has been forced into some changes.
On the November 22nd episode of SmackDown, footage was shown of Jade Cargill laid out on the hood of a car with the windshield smashed. This caused Cargill’s tag team partner Belair to abandon the match and head backstage as her friend was loaded into an ambulance.
A later report revealed that the angle was to cover for a real-life injury, although no details on the problem have been revealed. In fact, WWE is working to keep Jade Cargill’s injury a secret, but she’s expected to be out for three months.
As a result, Bayley has been drafted into WarGames at Survivor Series, and she’ll now team with Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Iyo Sky to take on Liv Morgan, Candice LeRae, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, and Tiffany Stratton.
However, it seems the changes won’t stop there.
WWE Set To Make Changes
As reported by Wrestle Votes during a recent Backstage Pass Q&A, with Cargill out of action, Bianca Belair will now give up the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
“Again, [I’m] working on nailing down the details, but I’m hearing they’re gonna have to strip Bianca…yeah, these belts are cursed. I mean, this happens time and time again.”
Since being introduced in 2019, the championship has been best by problems leading to talk of a curse. This has included the title being vacated after Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out on WWE in early 2022, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan vacating the titles in May 2023, and being forced to drop the titles two months later because of another injury.
The next pair of champions were also hit by the curse as Sonya Deville suffered a serious knee injury, but she was replaced by Piper Niven who joined Chelsea Green. In May 2024, Belair and Cargill won the titles at Backlash: France in what was Asuka’s most recent match to date as she’s since undergone knee surgery.
