Former WWE Star Naomi Backstage At GCW Event

A former WWE superstar, Naomi, was backstage at a recent event run by Game Changer Wrestling (GCW).

It has been nearly one year since wrestling fans have seen former WWE superstar Naomi (real name Trinity Fatu) competing in the ring. While her husband Jimmy Uso has been having the best run of his career as part of The Bloodline with his cousin and brothers, Trinity has been away from the company.

In May 2022, Naomi and Sasha Banks (now known as Mercedes Mone) were the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions when they decided to walk out of the company due to frustrations with the creative direction of the company and the women’s tag team division.

Since then, there have been numerous rumors that Banks and Naomi were coming back to WWE, especially after Triple H took over as Chief Content Officer last July, but it hasn’t happened yet.

As for what’s going on with Trinity currently, Fightful Select reports that she was backstage at the April 22nd GCW show in Orlando. It is believed that she lives in the state of Florida, so it could just be a case of visiting friends. Fightful noted that they weren’t given clarification on if the former Naomi would have a presence in GCW moving forward.

Earlier this week, Trinity also fired back against reports that she was not being signed by NJPW/STARDOM due to financial reasons. Trinity reacted on Instagram by writing: “NOT TRUE.”

In addition to her GCW visit, Naomi was also featured in a video training in the ring with Samuray Del Sol, who is the former WWE superstar Kalisto.
