WWE SmackDown Update Casts Doubt On Paige’s Replacing Nikki Bella WrestleMania

WWE WrestleMania 42 will see multiple championship matches across both nights at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. Three titles will be defended on Night One, while four defenses will take place on Night Two.

One of the four title matches on WrestleMania Sunday will see the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles be defended in a Fatal-Four-Way Tag Team Match. Nia Jax and Lash Legend put their titles on the line against three of the best tag teams in the promotion.

Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, Lyra Valkyria and Bayley, and The Bella Twins are scheduled to challenge for the belts, but there have been doubts over Nikki Bella’s availability.

Paige is rumored to return at WWE WrestleMania 42

News broke out earlier in the night that former Divas Champion Paige might make her return to the WWE at the Showcase of the Immortals. The rumor going around is that she will replace Nikki Bella in the title match.

Paige shares a good friendship with The Bella Twins, and she could stand in for Nikki as she remains out with an injury. However, Brie Bella hinted that it might not happen eventually.

During a video promo tonight, she said that Nikki is rehabbing her ankle injury and is doing everything she can to make it to WrestleMania 42 and fight alongside her twin sister, indicating that Paige might not replace her in the match.
