WWE SmackDown Star’s Injury Revealed After Referee Forced To Stop Match
Ahead of the March 6 episode of SmackDown, WWE taped Main Event in the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
On the show, Jordynne Grace, who joined the blue brand earlier this year, took on Alba Fyre in a singles match. The bout witnessed Fyre pick up a rare win, but something else happened during the match that worried fans.
A spot involving Grace leaping off the top ropes saw her land awkwardly as her ankle bent sharply. Nevertheless, the 30-year-old managed to get through the match, but needed a wheelchair backstage.
Grace, who is a former TNA Knockouts Champion, was then assisted by the medical staff, who confirmed the injury and put a walking boot on her right leg.
The WWE SmackDown star has now confirmed her status through a post on Instagram, which also contains a video of the spot.
In the photos, Grace can be seen with Chelsea Green, another superstar currently on the shelf, due to a similar injury.
It’s ALWAYS the things that you’ve done 10,000 times before. Like who told my ankle to be doing all that? 😭
I’ve been blessed to have gone 16 years injury free. The moment I turn 30, my ankle folds like a lawn chair. Coincidence?? 🙄

WWE Dealing With Multiple Injuries To Major Stars
2026 was a year for WWE to rectify its misses from 2025 by producing shows with compelling storylines.
However, several unexpected injuries have forced the creative team to pivot on more than one existing storyline.
Besides Jordynne Grace and Chelsea Green, Bronson Reed was the last wrestler to suffer an injury. Reed’s injury occurred during a 3-way Elimination Chamber qualifying match, which also involved Jey Uso and the Original El Grande Americano.
As a result, WWE was forced to call an audible, resulting in Jey Uso winning the match, as Reed was initially supposed to secure the spot.
Before Reed, his ‘The Vision’ stablemate, Bron Breakker, underwent surgery for a ‘serious hernia.’ There is no clear timeline for the wretlers’ return.
Late last year, Seth Rollins also injured himself, but he is on the road to recovery and has already made a couple of impactful appearances.
