WWE Shares Incredible Behind The Scenes Footage Of The Shield Recording Their Iconic Theme

The Shield

Most fans agree that The Shield’s theme is iconic, and recently, a rare video resurfaced on social media that shows the beginning of it — with each Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose (now known as Jon Moxley in AEW) recording the introduction.

For multiple years, The Shield faction dominated the landscape of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), winning several titles and taking out top stables such as Evolution and The Wyatt Family during their stint together.

With the 10th anniversary of The Shield’s 2012 debut coming up, WWE’s official Twitter posted the rare video in celebration of the faction.

The clip shows the former faction mates recording the famous intro for The Shield theme in a studio.

The stable would make their World Wrestling Entertainment debut at Survivor Series back in 2012 during the WWE Championship triple-threat match between John Cena, CM Punk and Ryback, when Reigns, Rollins and Ambrose came out to assist Punk and then attacked the former WWE Intercontinental Champion.

At the time, barely anybody knew who the three were, however, the stable would go on to become iconic, taking out multiple top talents throughout the company. All three of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Jon Moxley would then go on to have successful solo careers.
