Andrade’s departure from WWE was not immediate.

Nevertheless, it forced the promotion to alter its creative plans around the SmackDown star after SummerSlam.

According to Fightful Select, the Mexican star had enough days or even months left in his contract. Furthermore, his exit is not related to the company chopping down its taskforce.

It was reported on Saturday that the 35-year-old wrestler was moved to the alumni page on WWE’s official website, confirming his departure.

While the exact circumstances for him leaving remain unclear at the moment, it is being said that his exit has been in the works for some time.

Andrade’s match at SummerSlam, competing in a 6-team TLC tag match with Rey Fenix, was his last. There were plans for him to be featured in a tag team titles match against the Wyatt Sicks at Clash in Paris PLE.

As it stands, it was The Street Profits who unsuccessfully challenged the Uncle Howdy-led stable at the Paris event.

With Andrade gone, the focus now is on his next destination; whether he rejoins AEW, which he quit to come back to WWE or goes back to CMLL remains to be seen.

Was Andrade’s WWE Exit Due To Disciplinary Issues?

Amid speculations about Andrade’s sudden departure from WWE, another report has emerged, this time from Wrestling Observer.

During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer claimed that there were a few disciplinary issues behind the scenes involving the wrestler.

What happened was a couple of weeks ago, um, it is actually a story from a couple of weeks ago that just broke today. I mean, he wasn’t fired until today, but a couple of weeks ago, there was a disciplinary thing, and all I know is it was at a TV shoot, and he was told to go home, and he’s not been used since.

And when he was sent home, you don’t hear guys being sent home that often anymore, like you did back in the day… the feeling when he got sent home was that it must be serious because you don’t hear about that.

Meltzer also confirmed that it was not a drugs-related issue or Andrade’s relationship with his ex-wife Charlotte Flair, which whom he was on the SmackDown brand.
