Potential WWE Royal Rumble Surprise Entrants Revealed

The WWE Royal Rumble takes place on January 27th and there are already some names being rumoured as surprise entrants.

For the past 36 years, WWE fans have enjoyed watching the Royal Rumble due to how unique the match is and also the fact that the winners of the Royal Rumble are rewarded with a WWE or World Championship match at WrestleMania.

The 2024 edition of the Royal Rumble takes place on January 27th from Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg, Florida in a stadium that WWE used to use in the “ThunderDome” days.

As the Royal Rumble gets closer, fans start to wonder who will be in it and what kind of surprises there might be. On PWInsider Elite, Mike Johnson mentioned former Women’s Champion Naomi making her return to the company and potentially in that match. It has been reported previously that Naomi’s run in TNA as Trinity will likely end soon and she’ll be back in WWE with husband Jimmy Uso.

Another name mentioned by PWInsider was Liv Morgan, who missed most of the second half of 2023 with a shoulder injury. Morgan also received good news recently about her legal issues, so she should be ready to go around the Rumble.

There is also a two-time WWE Hall of Famer who could be part of the Royal Rumble since PWInsider mentioned Sean “X-Pac” Waltman as a possibility as well. Waltman last wrestled in May 2022, but he has a few matches left in him. The report noted that Waltman would be around the WWE Performance Center before the Royal Rumble, so perhaps it will give him a chance to get ready.

Also, since the Royal Rumble is in Tampa and NXT is based out of Orlando, they could surprise fans with some NXT wrestlers in the Royal Rumble match as well.

What Names Are Confirmed For The Royal Rumble So Far?

Since there are still 19 days to go until the Royal Rumble takes place, there are only a handful of names announced for the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches. However, they are some big names already confirmed for the Royal Rumble matches.

The four men officially announced for the Rumble match are: Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Lashley. Rhodes and Nakamura are former winnners.

As for the women’s Rumble matches, they also have four official entrants: Becky Lynch, Nia Jax, Bayley and Bianca Belair. In that match, Lynch and Belair are former winners.

There should be more entrants named for the Royal Rumble matches in the coming weeks.
