WWE RAW Superstar Placed In Concussion Protocol
WWE Raw star suffered a nasty injury during a recent match.
Dominik Mysterio defended his AAA Mega Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo at the AAA Rey de Reyes 2026 on Saturday, March 14, in Puebla, Mexico.
The bout was a no-disqualification match, and during the action, Vikingo threw a steel object that struck Dominik on the head. The impact caused a bloody gash on his scalp. Despite suffering the injury, Dominik managed to finish the match and successfully retained his title against Vikingo.
WWE Has Put Dominik Mysterio Under Concussion Protocol
Following his title defense in AAA, Dominik was originally scheduled to face Dragon Lee on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. However, he was not medically cleared to compete and was placed in concussion protocol, according to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer.
Therefore, he was pulled from the match. As a replacement, WWE booked Dragon Lee to face Penta for the Intercontinental Championship on the flagship show.

Speaking of Intercontinental Champion Penta, a recent report from WrestleVotes suggests that WWE is planning a multi-man match for the title, similar to what they did at WrestleMania 41.
“As far as the Intercontinental Title goes, it’s expected to be a multi-man match. The Intercontinental Title has three or four guys in it, much like last year.”
Last year, then-Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker put his title on the line against Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and Penta. Dominik emerged victorious in the match and walked out with the title on his shoulders.
