Update On WWE Plans For Final Raw Of 2022

WWE monday night Raw set

The final WWE Raw of 2022 may be a taped show due to when it airs and other events that WWE has planned for that day.

The final episode of WWE Monday Night Raw in 2022 takes place on December 26th, which is the day after Christmas and is also known as Boxing Day for some of us. There is not a live episode of Raw planned for that night according to the company’s schedule.

As of this writing, the WWE Raw brand will be in Columbus, Ohio at the Nationwide Arena for a “WWE Live Holiday Tour” event on Monday, December 26th. Meanwhile, the WWE Smackdown brand will be at Madison Square Garden in New York City for a “WWE Live Holiday Tour” event.

On the WWE schedule that is posted on their website, the last Raw TV event is December 19th in Des Moines, Iowa at the Wells Fargo Arena.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that “plans are still up in the air” regarding what WWE plans to do for Raw on December 26th. The options are:

* Tape matches/content for the December 26th Raw in Des Moines on December 19th. That’s a long night for the audience since Raw is a three-hour show and taping content right after that could take over two hours.

* Air a “Best of 2022” show. This has happened in past years although WWE provides itself on airing new content every week.

* Change the December 26th live event in Columbus, Ohio to a Raw taping instead.

According to Meltzer, taping matches on December 19th is an option being considered along with the “Best of 2022” idea.

It is expected that WWE will make an announcement on the December 26th edition of Monday Night Raw soon.
