WWE Orders Cody Rhodes To Abandon New Look

Cody Rhodes almost debuted a new look on WWE RAW before he was ordered to ditch it.

During an interview with CHGO Wrestling, the former Undisputed WWE Champion was complimented on his accessories, especially his glasses.

The 40-year-old disclosed that his wife, Brandi, dislikes them as she feels they make him look like an “old man.”

Cody Rhodes also recalled WWE Vice President of Content and Development Jeremy Borash’s reaction to the glasses on RAW last Monday. Although The American Nightmare is currently active on SmackDown, he made an appearance on the red brand to pay tribute to AJ Styles.

The American Nightmare revealed that Borash ordered him to remove of the glasses before they started shooting. The former Undisputed WWE Champion admitted that Borash was right, as the glasses give a different vibe.

Jeremy Borash, who’s big time helpful creative director at WWE, he’s an old school wrestling type. The other week I was just on RAW on AJ’s retirement. I had the glasses on. He knew we were about to shoot. He’s like, ‘Hey, get them out of here.’ And I thought, ‘Man, I love that old school mindset.’ You know what I’m saying? But he’s right. Like, it’s a different vibe.
