A veteran wrestler from the WWE SmackDown brand is expected to compete in a big team match in NXT.

The first episode of NXT airing on January 2nd in the New Year’s Evil episode featuring several big matches.

One of those matches was supposed to be a 6-Man Tag Team Match between Dragon Lee, Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro facing off against three members of the No Quarter Catch Crew – Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey, Damon Kemp & Myles Borne. It likely wouldn’t be Dempsey since he’s heading to Japan for an AJPW show.

While WWE likely wanted to feature the NXT North American Champion Dragon Lee in the match, the talented rising star noted that he’s dealing with a visa issue that will prevent him from leaving Mexico to attend NXT in Orlando. That means the LWO team will need a different partner.

As for who the partner might be, Fightful Select reports that another member of the Latino World Order is expected to team up with Wilde & Del Toro. That person will be WWE veteran Carlito, who is part of the SmackDown brand just like Dragon Lee is.
