When it comes to freak injuries in WWE, nobody has had worse luck recently than Samoa Joe of late. Joe was out for several months with a broken thumb, just to finally return to the ring and then suffer a concussion a few weeks later. Joe once again returned to the ring on the February 10th episode of Raw to help Kevin Owens and the Viking Raiders against Seth Rollins, AOP and Murphy. Joe was then unexplainably absent from this past Monday’s Raw, however. Today we know why.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the reason that Joe was absent this past Monday as he once again suffered an injury.
Joe is believed to have suffered the injury when he hit his head hard on a table while filming a commercial shoot last week. It is unknown the severity of Joe’s injuries at this time, but according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, he could miss a considerable amount of time. The report did not specify if it was a concussion or what injury it might be.
Matt’s Musings: Terrible break for Samoa Joe, who has had a horrible string of injuries lately. Hopefully Joe can recover quickly and be back in time for Wrestlemania in April.
