WWE Must Avoid A Big Mistake With Danhausen
WWE received a warning about the momentum of Danhausen, who has been featured on TV a lot since his debut.
Danhausen has been in the wrestling business since 2013, and he got his big break when he signed with AEW in 2022. The Very Nice Very Evil quickly got over with his comedic skits and was also one of the top merch sellers in the company. However, Danhausen disappeared from AEW TV after his last match in 2023 and eventually departed the company earlier this year.
Following his departure, Danhausen made his WWE debut at the Elimination Chamber PLE. Within a few months of his debut, the 35-year-old star has managed to entertain and amuse the fans with his funny character and is one of the top merchandise sellers in the company right now. He also competed in his first big PLE match at Backlash 2026, where he teamed with Minihausen to defeat the team of The Miz and Kit Wilson.
While Danhausen is being heavily featured on the WWE programming, the top AEW star, Swerve Strickland seems concerned about his momentum.
WWE advised not to burn out Danhausen so quickly
Speaking with Bootleg Kev recently, the AEW star, Swerve Strickland said that he doesn’t want the WWE to burn out Danhausen’s momentum by featuring him too much, as he seems to be everywhere:
So happy for him. I just don’t want them to burn him out so quick before the year is over. I’m like, ‘No, you gotta cherish this guy.’ It’s a lot and on both shows. He’s busy, he’s moving, he’s at the headquarters, he’s at Miz’s house, he’s on RAW, he’s on SmackDown, he’s with Stephen A. Smith. I’m like, ‘There’s a lot of Danhausen.'”
Swerve further congratulated Danhausen for the opportunities he is getting from the WWE and hopes to see him doing the same in the coming years as well:
And congrats to him. You shouldn’t say no to all those opportunities. Take them, but man, I want to see these opportunities still happening in five years, three years, next year. I want to see these opportunities still happening for you and growing.” [H/T WrestlePurists]
