It’s Official! WWE Makes Huge Money In The Bank 2026 Announcement
A change has been made to the date of the WWE Money in the Bank PLE.
The WWE Money in the Bank PLE has been part of the annual PLE list since the first one in 2010.
Prior to that, Money in the Bank was a single men’s ladder match held at WrestleMania, starting at WrestleMania 21 in 2005.
Over the last 16 years, Money in the Bank has taken place in July most of the time, but it has also been in May and June.
In October 2025, WWE announced that the WWE Money in the Bank PLE will be held at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on September 6, 2026, which is Labor Day weekend. However, that has been changed.
Instead of doing Money in the Bank in September, WWE announced on Monday that the popular PLE is moving to Saturday, October 10th, and it will still be in New Orleans. The press release is below.
New Orleans to host Money in the Bank on Saturday, October 10
June 8, 2026 – WWE, in conjunction with the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and Legends Global, today announced that Money in the Bank will now take place Saturday, October 10 — one month later than originally announced — at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
Money in the Bank features WWE’s biggest Superstars as they battle to earn a briefcase containing a contract for a championship match at a time and place of their choosing anytime within the next year.
Tickets will go on sale starting Friday, July 10 at 10am ET via Ticketmaster.com. Fans can purchase tickets during an exclusive presale starting Thursday, July 9 at 10am ET. The Superdome in New Orleans was supposed to host WrestleMania 42 earlier this year, but WWE took it away from the city and put it in Las Vegas for the second year in a row.
Upcoming WWE PLE Events In 2026
The remaining WWE main roster Premium Live Events of 2026 look like this:
- June 27 – Night of Champions @ Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
- August 1 & August 2 – SummerSlam @ U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota
- October 10 – Money in the Bank @ Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana
The first-ever WWE Wrestlepalooza PLE took place in September 2025, so perhaps the company plans to do another Wrestlepalooza in September this year, which could be why Money in the Bank got moved.
There will likely be a Survivor Series date and venue announced for November soon.
In addition, the July 18th Saturday Night’s Main Event special from Madison Square Garden in New York City will feature big matches from main roster talent. Those shows are usually shorter than a typical PLE since they are right around two hours, and they air on Peacock.
