Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre headlined tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown as the two rivals faced each other for the Undisputed WWE Championship once again.

Rhodes and McInyre have been at each other’s throats for what seems like an eternity, and it seems like the two might finally stop feuding after their match tonight.

They wrestled yet another extremely brutal match, which came to an end as Cody Rhodes dethroned Drew McIntyre as the Undisputed WWE Champion and punched his ticket to WrestleMania 42.

Cody Rhodes was put through the table on WWE SmackDown

However, there was a major botch that was made during their main event clash tonight. At one point in the match, Cody looked to put Drew through the announce table by hitting a CrossRhodes on top of the table.

While the spot never took place as the table gave away before they could execute the move, this wasn’t the botch made by the Stamford-based promotion. Following the announce table fiasco, Cody took a table out from underneath the ring.

Drew then capitalized and put Cody through the table by hitting him with a powerbomb. However, the match was never announced to be a no-disqualification one, and it should’ve ended after Drew’s move.

The powerbomb happened right in front of the referee, who didn’t bat an eye at the spot and continued with the match. While putting wrestlers through the announce table is legal in normal matches, doing so with the wooden table isn’t, and the match should’ve been called off.
