WWE Makes A Major Move After Roman Reigns’ Title Win At WWE WrestleMania 42
Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk at WrestleMania 42 and was crowned the new World Heavyweight Champion.
Ahead of The Show of Immortals, Reigns had revealed that the meaning of holding a world championship has evolved with time for him. Previously, it was a milestone and an accolade. However, now, holding a world championship means upholding its prestige and elevating the value of the championship in front of the WWE Universe.
While CM Punk has a huge fanbase who wanted to see him retain the title and do more with it, Roman Reigns’ fanbase is significantly large as well, who were ecstatic to see The OTC become the world champion once again. His last championship run ended at WrestleMania 40 when Cody Rhodes dethroned him.
