WWE Hall of Famer Issues Statement Following Health Scare: “I’m Alive”
WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase suffered an accident last week at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The 71-year-old legend revealed on his podcast Everybody’s Got a Pod that he tripped and fell hard after a child playing at the airport suddenly fell in front of him. Unable to avoid the collision, DiBiase landed face-first on the floor.
The fall resulted in a black eye and severe bruising on his ribs, though thankfully, no bones were broken. DiBiase shared that his ribs were extremely sore, comparing the pain to a previous broken rib he had experienced.
There were some kids there, and they were playing around, and they were just kids being kids. One of them, like, fell right in front of me, and I had no choice. I was hustling… I did a face bump. I mean, I went down. I went down hard, buddy.
I had a, I don’t know if you can see it, a black eye. The rest of it is, it was, it’s my right side. I have had a broken rib before. And if you have a broken rib, you can’t breathe. And even now, even though there’s nothing broken, I’ve got a really good bruise, but it’s so sore.
“I’m Well,” WWE Legend Ted DiBiase Reassures Fans
Despite making it clear he was doing well and was able to get up without assistance, people have been very concerned about him. The WWE Hall of Famer recently logged onto Instagram to reassure his well-wishers that he is fine.
Hey fans, Ted DiBiase, i just wanted to tell my fans out there that there is disinformation going around. Yes, I did take a fall at the Atlanta airport, and I got up right after that. There were couple of kids involved, but nobody was seriously hurt, including me and I just wanted to assure all of you people that I’m alive and I’m well, and remember this: everybody got a price for The Million Dollar Man.
