WWE May Be Forced To Change Big Plans Amid Rhea Ripley’s Uncertain Status

Rhea Ripley recently sustained an injury.

Rhea Ripley has gotten herself back into the main event scene after winning the Elimination Chamber match a few months ago. This win put her on a collision course with Jade Cargill, which led to a match at WrestleMania 42.

Rhea Ripley was able to defeat Jade Cargill and win the WWE Women’s Championship. Following this match, Cargill took some time off TV before returning for a few weeks later and attacking Mami, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss. Ripley defended her title against Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy. Mami was victorious again. However, she hurt her knee in the process and was seen sporting a knee brace the following SmackDown. WWE even confirmed that Rhea injured herself. WWE was even forced to change plans for Night of Champions. Mami was originally featured on the poster for the PLE. However, she has now been replaced by Tiffany Stratton. It looks like the sports entertainment juggernaut may be forced to change more plans around Rhea Ripley.

WWE may be forced to change Rhea Ripley’s SummerSlam plans

During a recent edition of WrestleVotes Live on Fightful Select, it was reported that Rhea Ripley likely got injured in Italy, and WWE is still waiting to see how long she will be out and if she’ll miss SummerSlam. It was also reported that if Rhea isn’t able to make it back in time for SummerSlam, then WWE will have to make some changes. Jade Cargill and Charlotte Flair’s match had been penciled in, but that will be affected by Ripley’s injury.

And from what we’re told, they’re waiting still to figure out how long this will be and if she’ll miss SummerSlam. If she misses SummerSlam, a lot of plans change. You see Thursday we reported how at one point Jade Cargill for Charlotte Flair had been penciled in. I do believe that match gets changed if Rhea is affected by an injury.”

Fans will be hoping that the extent of Rhea Ripley’s injury isn’t too serious that it will require her to relinquish the WWE Women’s Championship.
