This WWE name has recently changed roles and will no longer be a commentator.

WWE Evolve commentator Robert Stone has a new role in NXT.

He is stepping away from commentary duties to continue his role as interim manager at NXT after former manager Ava Raine (The Rock’s daughter) suddenly quit the company.

Mr.Stone has come a long way since his return to the Stamford-based promotion in 2019. He has served as Ava’s assistant manager during her run and is now the interim manager of NXT, a role given to him by NXT showrunner Shawn Michaels.

With Ava’s sudden departure and the chaos that ensued in NXT in recent weeks, Mr. Stone has decided to focus more on his new role, leaving his commentary role behind.

Stone has been commentating alongside Peter Rosenberg on WWE: Evolve for the better part of a year.

With Stone focusing on his new role, Blake Howard will be taking over commentary duties from him.

Last week, Mr.Stone appeared alongside Blake Howard for one last WWE Evolve Tubi teaser, where he announced Howard’s new role. Howard is an experienced backstage announcer in NXT.

Hey, somebody’s gotta fill my chair when I leave. I mean, somebody’s got to take over, and that somebody is you [Blake Howard]. Yes, I’m serious. You’re a phenomenal commentator. My only piece of advice is good luck dealing with Peter Rosenberg. You know my number if you leave anything.
