WWE Champion Left Bloodied On SmackDown; Requires Immediate Medical Attention

WWE SmackDown went off the air after a brutal attack that took place on a current champion in the company, leaving the entire WWE Universe in shock.

The main event of the show went ahead as scheduled, with Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes coming face-to-face in the ring for the contract signing of their WrestleMania 42 title match.

They both signed the contract and shared a hug before The Viper showed his true colors and turned on his former protege. Randy turned heel and unleashed a brutal attack on The American Nightmare.

Cody Rhodes in need of medical attention following WWE SmackDown

Randy Orton embraced his dark side completely on tonight’s show as his attack left Cody Rhodes bloodied. He hit the champion in the face with the steel steps which left Rhodes in a pile of blood.

Orton ultimately ended the attack after smashing the American Nightmare’s head with a steel chair against the steel steps that had Cody knocked out cold.

Following this brutal attack from the Apex Predator, Cody was tended to by numerous medical personnel as he’s in need of severe medical attention, leaving his WrestleMania status up in the air currently.
