WWE Champion Drew McIntyre Admits Top Star’s Promo “Lit A Fire Under Me”
Drew McIntyre has warned the entire SmackDown roster to bring their absolute A-game to the show.
It so happened that CM Punk and Roman Reigns cut a promo where they referred to Drew McIntyre multiple times to take shots at one another.
While doing that, Punk and Reigns may have indicated that RAW and the World Heavyweight Championship were above SmackDown and the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Drew McIntyre claimed the segment lit a fire under him
The Scottish Warrior appeared on Denise Salcedo. During that conversation, McIntyre revealed that The Best in the World and The OTC making SmackDown and the Undisputed WWE Championship feel lesser is what ticked him off. Hence, he stormed out to the arena on SmackDown and asked everyone to bring their top work to the ring.
So I didn’t care about that. It was trying to make the title, this title, feel lesser than, SmackDown feel lesser than. That’s what bothered me.
And as for SmackDown, it lit a fire under me. Really lit a fire under me. That’s why I said to the roster, you better stand up and be as angry as I am and start giving 150%. No matter what big platform they’re on right now, I don’t care. Our show is going to be the better show cause everyone’s going to be killing it from now on.
