2-Time WWE Champion To Be Added To CM Punk Vs. Roman Reigns?

Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk is the main event for WrestleMania 42 Night 2. 

The OTC won the Royal Rumble men’s match and picked World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk for The Grandest Stage of All.

Whoever wins Elimination Chamber will face Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 42.

Cody Rhodes to be added to CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns?

Interestingly, Rhodes has qualified for the Elimination Chamber match. If he wins, he can potentially challenge McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship. After McIntyre dethroned him, Cody Rhodes could not demand a rematch like usual since a no-rematch clause was added to the contract by The Scottish Warrior.

On Notsam Wrestling, a fan asked if Rhodes wins the Elimination Chamber but is unable to challenge Drew McIntyre due to the clause, whether or not he can be used to make Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes into a Triple Threat.

Sam Roberts claimed that while The American Nightmare and WWE will have to justify Rhodes pursuing the title, it could be done. However, usually contracts aren’t that powerful to stop a rightful challenger from pursuing a world championship.

Cody Rhodes would just have to do it himself. “I’ve decided I want I also want Roman’s match. I also want the same thing Roman wants. I want the world heavyweight championship. I want CM Punk’s belt.”

But you’d have to figure out a reason why Cody is going for that belt instead of the belt that he lost, and why he’s not going after Drew McIntyre, because the idea that he doesn’t get a rematch even if he wins the Elimination Chamber, I don’t think you can write contracts that powerful.
