WWE Make Calendar Change After AEW Announcement

Triple H WWE Tony Khan AEW

WWE has made some changes to its schedule.

Despite WrestleMania weekend being just around the corner, WWE has tweaked its Premium Live Event plans. NXT Battleground had been due to be held on May 26th, with the event coming live from the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia.

However, those plans have now changed. According to a new report from Wrestle Votes, the event has been moved to June 9th, and will now be held in Las Vegas.

Hearing rumblings of a significant schedule change, I’m told the NXT Battleground event will be moving off May 26th to June 9th. With the location shifting as well as Savanna, GA will no longer host the show. NXT Battleground will take place live in Las Vegas at the UFC Apex.

The news comes after AEW announced it would be returning to Las Vegas on May 26th for Double or Nothing.

NXT Stand & Deliver Set For WWE WrestleMania Weekend

While all eyes will be on WrestleMania, NXT Stand & Deliver is due to take place on April 6th. Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Shawn Michaels confirmed that the huge grudge match between Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes will headline the event.

“The Trick Williams-Carmelo Hayes story has been a driving force of NXT over the past several months,” said Michaels. “It deserves to be the main event of what is sure to be a memorable NXT Stand and Deliver.”

Meanwhile, Ilja Dragunov will defend the NXT Title against Tony D’Angelo and Lyra Valkyria puts her Women’s Title on the line against Roxanne Perez.
