WWE Seriously Considering Adding Bloodline Member To WrestleMania Title Match

The company’s WrestleMania plans for the WWE Title are still fluid, and this Bloodline member could now be thrown into the mix.

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre won the title from former Champion Cody Rhodes after defeating The American Nightmare in a Three Stages of Hell match on SmackDown in January.

The win came after an interference by Bloodline member Jacob Fatu, who attacked both McIntyre and Rhodes, but The Scottish Psychopath took advantage of the distraction to win.

In the weeks that followed, Fatu has repeatedly tried to attack McIntyre and Rhodes on SmackDown and other WWE events.

With the World Heavyweight Championship match between CM Punk and Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns confirmed for WrestleMania 42, WWE is trying to finalize the other main event.

The Elimination Chamber match on Feb 28 will decide McIntyre’s opponent for the Showcase of the Immortals, and Cody Rhodes is part of that bout.

Now, a new report suggests that insiders are backing Jacob Fatu to be added to the mix for the Title Match at Mania.

Jacob Fatu Could Feature In WWE Title Match at WrestleMania 42.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, multiple people in the WWE creative team are backing Fatu’s inclusion in the main event title picture.

The situation has created urgency behind the scenes as several departments responsible for WrestleMania promotional materials are now facing deadlines. This has raised significant concern internally that preparations may be falling behind due to uncertainty about the final lineup.

With Jacob Fatu not featuring in the Elimination Chamber match, the company may have to find another way to include him in the mix by working him through a different angle if this plan were to move forward.
